The 2026 STEM Discovery Campaign continues its mission to celebrate and elevate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across Europe and beyond. As an official partner, BIPED proudly joins this effort, helping to amplify the campaign’s vision of accessible, innovative, and sustainability‑driven STEM education. This year’s edition places a strong emphasis on collaboration and creativity, encouraging schools, universities, research centres, and community organisations to open their doors and showcase how STEM can shape a more sustainable and innovative future. What began as a weeklong event has, since 2020, evolved into a vibrant three‑month celebration running from 1 February to 30 April each year, giving participants even more time to explore, experiment, and share their work.

A defining theme of the 2026 campaign is “STEM for a Resilient Future,” highlighting how scientific thinking and technological innovation can help societies adapt to global challenges. Educators are invited to design learning experiences that connect classroom concepts with real‑world issues such as climate resilience, digital literacy, and responsible innovation. By empowering students to explore these topics through experimentation and inquiry, the campaign aims to nurture a generation of problem‑solvers ready to tackle the complexities of tomorrow.

What makes the 2026 edition especially exciting is its focus on cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Participants are encouraged to blend STEM with art, design, social sciences, and environmental studies, showing students that innovation thrives when different perspectives meet. As an official partner, BIPED will help amplify this mission by promoting innovative STEM practices, supporting educators in showcasing their work, and championing the integration of sustainability into STEM learning.
