Aarhus Living Lab: Key Building Block in City's Positive Energy District Development

Building a Positive Energy District is above all an exercise in community building.
Different people across industries and governance levels must come together to agree on what PED means for them and their area, what they can do individually and collectively to make PED work.
To give some examples: one stakeholder will supply technical data, another will provide access to facilities for solution deployment, someone else will provide qualitative feedback post-trial.
In short, everyone has a role to play in PED governance: civil society, industry, policy, science.
In Aarhus, we embedded this Quadruple Helix model into the Living Lab framework to create a vibrant stakeholder ecosystem in support of PED development in Brabrand.
