About BIPED

With modern technology, local digital twins have become key tools for developing and expanding PEDs, helping stakeholders make better, data-informed decisions for a sustainable future. However, most current PED and digital twin projects focus mainly on energy and mobility, often missing the social, economic, and environmental aspects that complete the picture of how a city truly works. In consequence, The Building Intelligent Positive Energy Districts (BIPED) project proposes a strategy that bridges these gaps, by integrating cross-sectoral and soft-data modelling into their core structure.
